Laundry Manager Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Laundromat Manager to join our team. The Laundromat Manager is responsible for the overall operation and success of the laundromat, including customer service, staff supervision, reporting equipment maintenance, and financial management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the laundromat's daily operations ensuring store is opened ON TIME and doesn’t close before the store’s closing hours
Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
Ensure that the laundromat is clean, well-maintained, and operating smoothly
Keep the laundromat clean and organized including the machines and drains
Report any problems to a supervisor and/or maintenance staff
Provide excellent customer service and answer customer questions
Manage the laundromat's inventory; ensure there isn’t overuse
Ensure that the attendants are aiding in maintaining the store alongside you
Maintain the money handling procedures and report any discrepancies you notice
Ability to take and receive phone calls from management regarding scheduling and missed shifts by employees
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds above one’s head
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with laundry equipment maintenance
Experience managing a laundromat or other retail business
Knowledge of laundry industry best practices
Bilingual English/Spanish
